UK යන්න කලින් දැන ගන්න.

 1. මට රට යන්න ඕනෙ?

තමන්ට යන්න කැමති රට/ රටවල් narrow down කරගන්න. මේක Group එකට දාලා වැඩක් නැහැ මොකද්ද හොද රට කියලා. ඒ හින්දා ඉස්සෙල්ලා රටවල් ගැන පොඩි අවබෝධයක් ගන්න. Online search කරන්න. YouTube බලන්න. ඊට පස්සෙ නොතේරන දෙයක් තියෙනන් හේතුවත් එක්ක ප්‍රශ්න කරන්න. Map එකත් බලන්න. රට කොහෙද තියෙන්නෙ කියලා. University එක කොහෙද තියෙන්නෙ කියලා map එකෙන් බලන්න.

England, Wales, Scotland සහ Northern Ireland වල තියෙන university වෙන වෙනම හොයන්න

(Ex: England වල university විස්තරයක් ඇහුවම

Dundee university එක හොදයි කියන්න යන්න එපා.. මෙතන ඉන්න agents ලත් ඒ වැරැද්ද කරනවා. ඒකෙන් වෙන්නෙ තමන්ට අවශ්‍ය marketing එක කරගන්න එක විතරයි. ප්‍රශ්නෙට උත්තරයක් නැහැ. හැම වෙලාවකම උත්තරයක් දෙනකොට ප්‍රශ්නෙට අදාල වෙන්න source එකත් එක්ක දෙන්න. මම agents ලගෙන් ඉල්ලන්නෙ අඩුම තරමේ university එකේ website එකවත් දාන්න කාරැණික වන්න.

Agent ගෙන් අහන්න එපා ඔයාට කරන්න ඕන course එක. ඔයාම තීරණය කරන්න. ඊලගට university website වලට ගිහින් ඒඒ course වලට අවශ්‍ය requirements මොනවද බලන්න. Requirements මොනවත්ම නැත්නන් අඩුම තරමේ ඒ ටික genuinely හදාගන්න. Gap වහගන්න ලක්ෂ ගනන් සල්ලි දෙන්න යන්න එපා. ඒවා බොරැවැඩ. University එකත් එක්ක කතා කරලා හරි පාර හදාගන්න. සමහර වෙලාවට සමහර qualifications නැතිවෙන්න පුලුවන්. ඒ වෙලාවට තමා university එක directly contact කරලා විස්තර ගන්න. සමහර වෙලාවට alternative path එකක් කියයි. ඒ හින්දා අවශ්‍ය qualifications නැහැයි කියලා goal එක අතහරින්න එපා. University එකට email කරනකොට academic විදිහට ලියන්න. ඔයාව introduce කරන්න. Skills, qualifications, experience, ඇයි මේ course එක කරන්න කැමති, ඇයි මේ university එක තෝරගන්න හේතුව, මොනවද university එක ගැන දන්නෙ සහ මොනවද future goal කියන ඒවා ඇතුලත් කරන්න.

3. English Language

IELTS කරගන්න. සමහර Uni වලින් වෙනම assessment එකක් තියලා ගන්නවා. ඉතින් පුලුවන්නන් IELTS කරන්න. බලන්න තමන්ගෙ දැනුමේ මට්ටම. මොනව හරි improve කරගන්න තියෙනන් ඒ කාලේ ඇතුලත ඒක හදාගන්න. සමහර වෙලාවට credibility interview එකක් තියලත් මේ දේවල් අහනවා. English language එක අනිවාර්යයි කියන්න දෙයක් නැනේ. හොද job එකකට apply කරනකොට අපිට competition එක තියෙන්නෙ native language කතා කරන අයත් එක්ක. ඒහින්දා language එක හදාගන්න. අමාරැ නැහැ. මහන්සිවෙන්න.

4. Visa Process එක

හැමදාමත් මන් කියනවා වගේ UK visa process එකට අවශ්‍ය සේරම දේවල් තියෙන්නෙ මේ website එකේ. මේ website එකට ගිහින් වෙලාව අරගෙන කියවන්න. Process එක ඉවරවෙනකන් නිතරම බලන්න. මොකද visa guidelines නිතරම වෙනස්වෙනවා. University එක list එකේ තියෙනවද නිතරම බලන්න. හැමදේම black and white තියෙනවා. 95% ක් ප්‍රශ්න වලට උත්තර මෙතන තියෙනවා.

ඊලගට ගොඩක් university වල visa process එකට උදව් කරනවා. නිකන් agents ලට සල්ලි දෙන වෙලාවේ ඕගොලන්ට admission දෙන Uni වලින් හරි විස්තර ගන්න.

තවත් වැදගත් කාරණයක් තමා සමහර agents ලා ඔගොලන්ව attract කරගන්න ඕනවට scholarship දෙනවා, discount දෙනවා කියනවා. මගේ advice එකතමා university එකෙන් directly අහන්න. ගොඩක් තැන්වල ඒ discount එක දෙනවා. Scholarship වලට තනියම apply කරන්න.

5. Living cost සහ Part time jobs

මේ දෙකම අපි කතා කලේ මගේ කලින් පල කරපු post number 2/3/4/5 වලට අනුව. හොදට කියවලා තේරැම් ගන්න.

6. PR path එක

PR එකට එක path එකක් නෙමේ. ගොඩක් තියෙනවා.

Student කෙනෙක් degree එක හරි masters කරලා ඉවර වුනාම අවුරැදු 2කට Graduate route work visa එකක් apply කරන්න පුලුවන්. මේ ගැනත් මම post number 12 න් explain කරලා තියෙනවා.

ඉතින් මේ visa category එකේ ඉන්න ගමන් skilled visa category එකට මාරැවෙන්න පුලුවන්. ඔගොල්ලො UK ඉන්න නිසාත්, qualified වෙලා නිසාත් මේ category එකට Job එකක් හොයාගන්න බැරි වෙන්නැ. මම කියන්නෙ නැහැ graduation එක ඉවර වුන ගමන් මේ job එකක් හොයාගන්න පුලුවන් කියලා. එහෙම ලැබුන අවස්තා නැතුවත් නෙමේ. ඉතින් skilled visa category එකේ අවුරැදු 5ක් හිටියම PR එකට apply කරන්න පුලුවන්. PR එකෙන් අවුරැද්දක් හිටියම citizenship එකට දාන්න පුලුවන්. හැබැයි මේක නෙමේ PR එකට තියෙන එකම path එක. මේ website එකෙන් බලන්න.

7. UK ආව ගමන් ඉක්මනට කරන්න ඕන දේවල් මොනවද?

* NI number එකට apply කරන්න

* GP register වෙන්න

* Bank Account එකක් open කරගන්න

* Electoral register වෙන්න.

8. මේ සේරමත් එක්ක හොදට ඉගෙන ගන්න.

වැදගත්ම දේ enjoy කරන්න. අම්මා තාත්තව පුලුවන් කමක් තියෙනව නන් visit visa එකකින් ගන්න. පුලුවන් වෙලාවට Europe වලට visit එකක් යන්න. මෙහෙ free බලන්න යන්න තැන් ඕනතරන් තියෙනවා.

Functions of the Foundation

Do you want to know about the functions of the foundation? Most of the people who are interested in construction industry want to know about major functions of foundation. In a building construction project, significant cost will be allocated for foundation. Foundation is one of the most important elements of a building and which has direct contact with the ground

Foundations is the lowest part of a structure which transmits the load of the structure (dead load) together with live load and wind load to the underlying soil on which the building rests.

 

                    

Generally foundation is placed below the ground level to increase the stability of a structure or building.

The functions of a foundation are follows;

 

1. Distribution of loads

2. Stability against sliding & overturning

3.Minimize differential settlement

4. Provide level surface

  5. Minimize distress against soil movement 

1) Distribution of loads

Foundation help to sustain, distribute and safely transfer the total load (dead load, imposed load and wind load) to the suitable subsoil.

Therefore, the intensity of load at its base does not exceed the safe bearing capacity of the soil

In the case of deep foundations, the super imposed loads are transmitted either through end bearing or both by side friction & end bearing

                            

2) Stability against sliding & overturning

 

   Foundation imparts lateral stability to the super structure by anchoring it to the ground

  It increases the stability against sliding & overturning due to horizontal forces to wind, earthquake, etc.

3) Minimize differential settlement

 

   Foundation distribute the super-imposed loads evenly on the sub-soil, even in the case of non-uniform loads

   This can be achieved by constructing combined footing or raft foundation.

   4) Provide level surface

It provides level surface over which super-structure can be raised.

  5) Minimize distress against soil movement

Distress or failure due to expansion or contraction of the sub-soil due to moisture variation in clayey & black cotton soils are minimized by the provision of special type foundations.
